EXISTING FRONT YARD
THIS HAS BEEN UNTOUCHED SINCE WE BOUGHT THE HOUSE IN 2011. GOALS/PROBLEM AREAS:
Update overall landscape design to a clean, modern, organic xeriscape with a few structured/modern design elements
Overhaul irrigation system in entire front yard — only half is currently functional, and still on bubblers, tree is not adequately watered, etc
Add lighting to the yard, and update patio light fixtures
Enhance the patio area with all new plants and gravel/riprap. Rework paved walkway to feel more modern? Take advantage of irrigation running to the top of the wall with planters??
New gate on the East side of the house, something easier to use so we can conceal garbage cans
EXISTING WEST SIDE YARD
GOALS/PROBLEM AREAS:
Very High Priority: Visually distinguish our property from the unkempt wash adjacent to it, which is not our property.
Clean up the debris on our side of the wash (bricks, old dead plants, etc)
Possibly add plants or other materials that will prevent further erosion on our side of the wash.
Fix/add irrigation along west side
Plant trees for shade on the west side of the house, and to conceal the rooftop A/C unit
Remove extra irrigation box and tidy up the side wall in general
